Wifi-Switch Activated Sound Reactive LED's with 2n222 transistor
« on: December 27, 2009, 07:30:36 PM »
I was going to install LED's in my friend's PSP Slim with the 2n2222 transistor, but he wants them to be able to be turned on/off with the wifi switch. Is there a diagram on how to make them controlled by the wifi switch?

Dont use the wifi switch for your 2n2222 ..Wifi switch is only for lm386....here is a diagram...use a dip switch..

Hi the Wifi Switch is a ground Switch not a positive switch, in the diagram the switch is positive (+5V), you can't use the wifi switch for this, you must put another switch....

the wifi switch can be used for anything, it is a grounded conection. you can use it for this mod, but must locate it properly.

sorry modded matt but where you want to put the Wifi switch in this diagram????
it's a general grounding, not for cut circuit.
If you want use it for cut circuit you must desoldering it....
Unless I am mistaken

you are correct. this circut is not one I am familiar with.

but the wifi switch can be isolated to act as a normal on/off switch. it would involve cutting traces, and wiring the wifi to be allways on.  in which case it could go anywhere, I would suggest placing it on the led ground, between the transistor, and the LEDS

Don't take the Wifi Switch for this, or desoldering all the switch make a bridge on the mobo pin for always ON Wifi, and glu backwards the wifi Switch, after this operation you can use the Wifi Switch for your Diagrams.
If you don't make this the wifi Switch give you a general Ground , and it's not good for that you want to do.
If you don't understand I take Pic after Work.

(Sorry I'm French and I have some difficult to speak a good english)

Here the MOD you must do to use the Wifi Switch for your diagrams:

desoldering the switch

Solder a bridge between the two PIN closest (for Always activate Wifi)

Solder two Wire on the Switch

And glue the Switch like this
Be carefull the switch pin and the bridge should not touch.
