Not sure but....the finishing on the back of the dx case seems to be more frosted and translucent(instead of crystal clear) than the coolmods one

nope, its true, just DX ones have sony printing on them, Coolmods does not, still made in same factory though.

and dealextreme is probably near the factory so they don't pay so much shipping cost which coolmods does have to pay since they are shipping to the uk and then within 2 a 3 days to your house

ya, but a full case is 39.70 and shipping is 12.__ so it is 52.27 with shipping. They should make it so you can have cheaper shipping lol.

Anyway's I would trust Coolmods as there cases are always better quality. It seems that the faceplate that comes with the Dealextreme one is the same that they sell separately... Which is total

. I had to break my PSP Slim's trim to get it off because I had to screw it in hard to get the analogue stick to fit over the face plate. I ordered a new trim and will be ordering the Coolmods clear case as I trust them more.

plus the coolmods guys have to deel with the higher uk prices of everything including shiping and then there is all the taxes and vat etc. like the cheepest shipin internationally from the uk is for a small envelope is like £5 last i remember.

The customs over in some of the Asian countries are very poor, in Australia it is illegal to ship mod chips into the countries and I ordered about 20 R4's and they got through customs because on the Deal Extreme Package slip on the front said they where "LED Flashlight" so they got through and I'm happy

Yep, this is true, i remember, when I ordered a pocket swiss army knife from dx, and because it would say 'knife' on the packaging, it got stopped by customs, although If i sent a package to hong kong with a clear label saying 'Bomb, Sudden Shocks Will Detonate', it will probaly still get through

Yes it fits perfectly..

Once again, I would like to diffuse this Ever so Popular Rumor, They Are NOT from the same factory, Coolmods has theirs made in House in Britain. Yes they are more expensive due to shipping and really harsh Customs Offices. Also all their products are guaranteed and individually tested for quality.

Also I'd like to Add that Coolmods Pioneered the Clear Case, there were faceplates but not cases.. So DX and all other Chinese companies have been Ripping off Coolmods.. But because Coolmods is the true Modders Advocate a new feature will soon be released that is geared directly for Modders.

on that note, my tut has been finished but I still have to edit the pics. It's alot of pics guys...

I've been told it takes 7-10 dyas which isn't too bad but i wish i'd bought one from coolmods. looks better.

Yeah, Coolmods will always have superior cases, but this is a good option for multiple cases because their cheap. If your buying one, I'd recommend Coolmods

Just got my new case from DX. Got to say, it looks really good! has all the sony logo's and comes with a good set of buttons. Just need another slim to put it in. Here's some pic's of it. you can't really see, but it's completely clear.
