Razor X in Slim By LordNico..
« on: March 30, 2008, 04:04:45 PM »
Hey all, here is L0rdNic0's PSP Slim with Dual Nubs. The wiring to the header pins is a little hard, but the over all installation is cake. The RazorX adds smooth operation since there are no bubbles of solder or wires to interfere with the spring. We here at AcidMods will be working on a no hassel way of installing the RazorX in the Slim that will include a relocation of the power switch to the Start button using a digital switch as posted in one of my other videos. Keep an eye out. NOTE: This install is 100% fully functioning without any issues.

here is a video of it in action..

Here is a sneek peek of the inside of the slim with the razor X in place.

Here is the Razor X with the face plate on..

Special thanks to Cyber for editing my video footage for me.  Hope you guys like the Video and sorry that my PSP trim looks shabby I use that PSP everyday as an MP3 player and TV   :winker:

Details, yes the Charging port needs to be removed and the power board too. At the time of this video recording, I had not installed the electronic switch, but now to turn the PSP on and off you need to hold the start button down for five seconds. Ten seconds to hard boot it, or use a magnet (love the security mod). Some time ago I had done the USB Mod so I didn't have to use Sony's charging method (this was before DAX created a Hack in CFW). Anyway now I can charge my slim even when its powered off so I guess it works out.. BTW the spring is easy to work with, just takes practice.

no, no need for a Phat the contact points are easy to solder to. The PSP Slim is a different story but we dont want to give away to many details just yet.

cool, will you sell this mod later? cos i would do it my self on the phat and all, but i dont even want to open my slim (my precious).  Or maybe someone (hobby) professionals in england rather (since i live in norway). I thought i never would want to mod my slim, but you changed my mind Nico :)

but since the mod is not really ready for the public yet suits me okay, cos living on my own is hard enough, need to save up some moneys

I have a question,
On your site to buy it:
http://www.coolmods.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=190&osCsid=1ed4d6494fd8cc645f77b4e84be23425

is that the kit for the PSP Slim?
and does that "kit" come with everything you will need + instructions?

Thanks!

That is just a board, you will need a Analog Nub from a PSP, Kynar, Solder, Dremel, Etc. and a tut to be released.
