Title: (xbox360) I'm Searching For You Elusive Coders
Post by: RFK on October 16, 2012, 05:26:47 AM
Before I start please don’t let my low post count put you off. I've browsed for many an hour and the information contained in this site has been invaluable!

Where to start at this point. I’ve found you through the post by CptChronic regarding no one wanting to write code for rapid fire retailers. CptChronic is a good friend of mine in real life and I actually set him up in business many years ago in terms of showing him the rapid fire market. He told me about the post of his in a recent phone call between us and so I have stumbled here and had a read about what has been said so far.

I’ll not go into everything I need in this post, but I know that sometime, maybe a long time ago some of you were willing to write code. I’m not wanting something for nothing and I realise that everyone’s time is valuable. So I would be willing to pay for any code created and give credit where credit is due. The people that write code on these forums are a specialised few, that know not only the coding aspect but the gaming side of the project. Therefore your time and expertise is off a premium, which I am more than willing to pay for.

If working with me to develop a code interests anyone, then I would be delighted. You will find that I'm not your average Joe coming on here kicking and screaming for what they want. I hope I have the pleasure of hearing back from someone, so that we could discuss future terms.

Many thanks
Mike

Hi RFK,

Unfortunately i have absolutely no background in code development however if you where to ever look into creating a few GOW3 active reload chips (non stealth) please don't hesitate to give me a shout as i would be interested in picking one up.

Regards,

Greg

Hi Greg,

Something that i would defiantly look into in the future! But it would all be dependant on finding someone that could help develop the code.

I'll be sure to keep an eye out for you.

Thanks
Mike

I'm one step ahead of you there. I saw his posts and figured that much so i found his direct email on his website and emailed him before posting on here.

He's already got business arrangements in the UK as you can see below so has had to decline my invitation which is unfortunate.

Mike,
I appreciate the email. You are the exact kind of guy that I like to work with. You know what you are doing. You know what you need. And you aren't scared to pay a little upfront to get ahead.

Unfortunately I have a pretty deep partnership with another UK company. Part of our agreement is one of exclusivity. They pay me very well to make sure that I am not feeding their competition any support that might give them an edge. Not only that, but they have been really great guys to work with.

So unfortunately I will not be able to help you. I truly apologize.

I hope you understand that it is nothing personal.

         Sincerely,
             Seth

Well looks like your living up to your reputations, you certainly are as elusive as people suggest.

No bother, thanks for your time when browsing. If you feel like possibly taking this up in the future or know of someone that would want to help, then please inbox me.

Its never to late to learn, if i people are unwilling to do it for me then im going to have to do it myself. This is a road that i thought i might have to go down. Are there any recommendations for reading material or an on-line course that  i could follow?

Many thanks
Mike
