Regulator for the Triggers U9, or any of it's support components, C3, C32, C33, C35, C37, R38 or R40 or it could be the MCU not sending the signal to that Regulator. Could be U10 or U11 is shorted also, or any number of other things that I haven't seen before.

What could cause both triggers to be activating 100% as soon as the controller is powered up? I know the issue is with the mcu board as the issue remains with a known working power board.

Can be closed, was just stupid. New Sticks had shorter legs and the middle via hat a bad solder joint

Hey everyone,

I got a problem with a BDM-030 after installing hall effect sticks.

The right stick is constantly moving left. I damaged the trace for the up/down movement and fixed that fololowing the advice of RDC to remove solder mask an solder on a jumper.

The problem is that that all the traces for the left/right movememt seem intact, also the vias.
Also the sensor gets his voltage from the other axis via jumper. Also continuity-measured  the three legs , the middle leg is neither grounded nor has i visible broken trace.

What could that else be ? The controller was working fine before.

Sorry, didn't see your reply to this until now.

RSX is p15 of the SOC board, the schematic is in the thread that is linked above.

Is there any chance to get some links for newer revisions into here or another pictures with more informations like the ones for the BDM-010 ?
Or where do you get all that information from ?
Sure is, you can hit the New Topic or Reply button and post it. ;)

Any images or info that I post comes from when I run across a new version and have the time to work on it.

Welcome, not my first rodeo. ;)

Thanks for the fast reply. Indeed that were 3 questions

I will take the via then. Followed the traces last night but wasnt able to propely do anything due to lack of conentration.
A buddy gave me this one to install hall-effect sticks after the first 2 normal ones he replaced himself. Missing 2 vias already but luckily they were just ground.

But i messed up the signal trace myself while desoldering the hole next to it. I hope i can do it, cause i dont have a digital microscope and this is about half the size of an HDMI trace , which i did a few times now.
I have a half-decent soldering and hot air station, i think i can do this one.

That's 3 questions.

1. No easy spots for RSX (red) or RSY (blue). Either have to remove the solder mask on the trace somewhere and solder a wire there to run back to the RSX, or go back to the first via and do the same.

2. Yes

3. From an internal layer, which comes from the PMIC
