Alright, so as the title says, my PSP hangs on startup. For the past 6 hours, (had it on while I slept), the PSP will stay on the loading wavy lines with the little loading circle in the bottom. Nothing loads.
I am almost positive this is a hardware problem, but I'm really hoping not as this is my only functioning mobo. The other one will load up, but it doesn't work with the start chip half the time. The other one is completely missing an LCD connector. :/
So yeah, this is flashed with 4.01 M33 CFW. However, every time I start it up, no matter what options I have it set to in the recovery, it still loads up normally. Like when I tell it to skip the Sony Boot Logo, it doesn't. When I tell it to run a game at the recovery folder, (in the past this would hang the PSP for a minute, then tell me the game can't be started, but it would load the firmware), it doesn't start up. It tries to load normally. So I'm just wondering if this can even be fixed. :/

check if the little switch that clips on the umd is pressed down... if theres no umd and its pressed down it does that
(https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.consolenext.com%2Fimages%2Fumd%2520switch.jpg&hash=a644c2f891dd85812e1d3baf0dda5ca6ea14a20e)
That switch to be precise
-
It is not. :/
But when that switch is pressed down after about 10 minutes it would come up with a disk read error. It doesn't do that anymore. :/
I let it run for 6 hours and it was still hung on that screen. I'm thinking it might be a corrupt Flash. :/

Well it doesn't :censored:ing matter anymore to me, anyhow.
Go figure, the :censored:ing LCd connector broke. :censored: Sony and their crappy designs, you'd think they'd make those things a LITTLE bit better than they do. I now have two motherboards who are unusable because of that retarded little fact.

i have the same problem buddy...i always have my lcd connector broken 4x!!

Push it down, hotglue....
-
The LCD connectors are completely and utterly ripped off... Most of the pads on the board have had that happen as well. :/

if its pushed down it thinks theres a umd in, then it just looks for one without anything coming on the screen for a while
Nah you don't need to short it, just check its not being pushed down, if its not, then its most likely a flash problem, in which case a pandora will fix :)

i remove my umd drive for my speaker mod...and i tried almost all of them...DC8..pandora..
installing new cfw..but still the same..
-
All I can think of then, is either check if anything is shorting or check the ID Storage
-
id storage is fine buddy...its the umd switch that really has the problem...
