Title: Broken Left Stick?

So I have an extremely old mod from 2012 and i recently decided to get back on and have fun with it, everything was going good for 3 hours till the left stick stopped working. Like my character could walk forward and backwards but whenever I pressed down on the stick it wouldn't make the character run. Could this be a calibration problem? Or is there a way I can fix this?

Something is shorted out causing the stick to geek out. remove the poer to the mod chip and it will function.

I have some old godfather chips which is the same thing if you would like a new chip.
