______________________________________________________________________________________

Hello!

I wanted to share with you what I've been doing on my PSP end.
Right now this is just the first of 5 mods I'm going to be doing to my PSP.
In the end I will have dual nubs, internal Camera, remove the DC power source/move it to USB Charge, making the WiFi always "live"/Using the WiFi Switch for another purpose, swapping LED Colors of Memory stick and Charge, and add  1 LED.

I know what your thinking, "JUST ONE LED?!?!"
haha, yeah, I'm not that into having 15+ LED's and making them dance to music.
But, you'll see what I do with it by the end of my project.

First:

I have been tinkering around with dual nubs for a while now and have never really be satisfied with my results.
What I wanted was to have the PSP look like it came straight from the factory with two nubs. I also wanted full functionality of the STOCK Power board.

I've seen the placement of the second nub really far to the right and too low, both don't look right to me and probably a pain to use.

I finally got the results I was looking for:

The second nub is still about a millimeter too low, but it looks so much better than most dual nubs I see.
Also, I used the STOCK Power board in the PSP. ( I know Jumbo and 123sample have been able to do the same thing so I know its not a new idea... but I was glad I personally could make it fit)

Please note:

This PSP is my "TEST" PSP
I have not run the wires to make the nub actually function, and in the end my PSP will not be clear. The only reason I'm using a Clear case is to be able to test fit everything before I move on to the actual PSP I will be modding.

My next update will show me test fitting the internal camera behind the UMD door.
Thanks for reading!

Nice! If you can get everything wired up it'll be great! On your real psp though, try not to scratch the case ;) your test psp has a lot of scratches near the 2nd nub. Other than that though, it should be fine :) good luck!

Wait..? where's the AC plug?

I HAVE heard that you have to remove it for dual numbs, but I then heard someone say that's only for phat, that you can leave it on for slim.

You should really use some sort of plastic to fill that hole... gonna get dusty in there after awhile... not good.

i think its easier to remove it on a slim. He removed it and added usb charge.

haha yeah, All the scratches are on the inside.
I don't really care about the look of this case, its only purpose is to let me test fit everything before so I don't mess up an OEM PSP case.

in 123sample dual nub tutorial (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=25820.0) he does say this it is possible to keep the AC plug. I tried keeping it, but with my test PSP i couldn't get the AC Plug and the second nub to fit without having an awkward bulge.
Also, rewiring the USB plug to have power all the time is very simple and looks clean.

Here's some pictures of my test with keeping the AC Plug:

any tips on how do dual nub? And what did board to you use to make the razor? the razor x or razor2?

The Parts I'm using are:
Replacement PSP Analog Switch - http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3373 (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3373)
Razor X pcb board - http://www.coolmods.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23_41&products_id=190 (http://www.coolmods.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=23_41&products_id=190)

Some Tools you will want:
- Dremal
- Razor blade/Box cutter
- Circle tapering Drill bit (I don't know what its called, but its a bit that has multiple rows of circles on it that taper from small to large)

Good Tutorial about assembling the PSP Nub/Razor X:
HERE (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=http://www.pspgen.com/forums/viewtopic.php%3Ff%3D44%26t%3D107679&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://www.pspgen.com/forums/viewtopic.php%253Ff%253D44%2526t%253D107679%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26channel%3Ds%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26hs%3DK93%26sa%3DG)

Moding the PSP to fit the second nub is all about trial and error.
Get a clear faceplate so you can see what you are doing and try test fitting it.
You wont be able to get it to fit perfectly the first or second time.
(For me to like the Placement of my nub it took me about 20 test fits.)

You will basically have to modify everything the nub would touch.
- Back case
- Faceplate
- X /_\ O [] buttons
- Screen
- Home Buttons
they all have to be modified a little to make room.
I would recommend trying to keep the Nub replacement and Razor X Board as "stock" as possible.
There is no point making a second nub fit if it doesn't work right.

I would also recommend ordering at least 3 Replacement Nubs.
Shipping sucks ass and trust me you will be almost done with your mod and you need a new Nub because the spring is gone, or the one you have is scratched up, etc.

nice! you should definitely fill in the charging hole then it would look sick

Yes, Yes, I will on my final PSP.
Right now I'm just test fitting everything on this PSP case before I move on to the PSP OEM Case.

Nice job bro!

Only thing I don't like is the gab I'm trying to figure out some way you would use custom plastics to fill it.

Fill it with a piece of plastic and then bondo maybe?  The thing about that is that you need to paint it afterwards which is the drawback.

Second:
First off I have to say I'm very, very happy with how well this worked out.

As I said on my first post I'm trying to make this PSP look like it came from the factory with all these modifications already done.
With that said my goal was to have a true INTERNAL camera.
I've been looking around at other peoples internal camera mods and they all  look like you had a PSP, then took a camera and stuck it on it.
(I know, I know there are some people that did a great job putting the camera in the psp. Just to name one, anthonyta (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=29112.0) did an awesome job with putting his camera in the PSP)

But again, I didn't want that.
What I wanted was to have the nice clean flat back of the PSP without having holes in the UMD door, or the camera sticking out if the PSP.

And... I did it:

Surprisingly I didn't have to modify the PSP case to make it fit.
Note:
There is a VERY small amount bulging on the bottom of the case. I can EASILY grind down inside the UMD space a little to make it fit perfectly.

On my final PSP I'm going to have a clear jewel made, glue it in, and paint it but leaving where the camera is unpainted.

Note:
Remember, this is just my test PSP. I'm only using this PSP to make sure everything will fit before I move to the OEM PSP case and wire everything up.

My next Update will be fitting the LED, making the wifi always "live" and using the switch to turn on/off LED and Camera
Thanks for reading!

dude that cam looks pretty swish.. but doesnt it show the white part of the "S" ??
Title: Re: Work In Progress: JoblessPunk's PSP [UPDATE #2]

You need a switch on the data - wire, meaning it can't be grounded like the wifi switch is.

So you can't use the wifi switch for the camera. You can use it for the LEDs still, just not the camera.

But ya great work!

Can't wait to get me one of them cameras.

Third:

Long time no see!

Sorry for such a long time in between updates, I had to wait for shipping to receive the 30 AWG wire.
Also, this update isn’t exactly what I said I would have done, but I thought I would share some information.

Alrighty let me show ya some wires:

(https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg211.imageshack.us%2Fimg211%2F9061%2Fwiredcamera1.jpg&hash=f1c9b10cc9187335f762fac3f7fb8716e1b874a6)

(https://acidmods.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg207.imageshack.us%2Fimg207%2F3772%2Fwiredcamera4.jpg&hash=0ecb754ba8d4a9371454bc6f26dadcb730c79d8d)

I had a really good time running the wires for this.
I was kinda nervous putting the battery in and turning it on, but everything worked like a charm.

Also, yes I know the wires are “SOO LONG HOW ARE YOU GOING TO FIT ALL THAT INSIDE JOBLESSPUNK!!”

Please Remember!!
This is just my test PSP, I’m doing all my trial and error, seeing what obstacles I will run into before I move on to the actual PSP I will be modding.

Also,
Everything is really small and the margin for error is very high.
But, if you take your time, follow rgarjr wiring diagram HERE (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=28781.0) and have the right tools/supplies anyone could do this mod.

Now let me show you what I found out.
I always see people having a switch to turn on and off the PSP Camera. Everyone that I ask just said that it needs a switch with no proof of them trying the install without a switch.

So voila here is the proof in the pudding:

I was TOTALLY expecting my PSP motherboard to fry when I plugged the USB into the computer and into the PSP, but it didn’t.

So as you can see, your computer doesn’t know what to do with the USB Device. If you go into settings and turn off USB charge all that happens is your PSP sits in “please wait mode” and does nothing.

Also if you have the USB plugged in and try to use the camera the PSP tells you to connect a camera that is compatible.

So there ya have it.
Proof that you NEED a switch for the camera.

My next Update will be some case modding to fit two switches on the top of the PSP
Thanks for reading!

Fourth:

BIG UPDATE

I’m excited to show you guys what I’ve been working on... but also a little ashamed.
Lets finish where I left off last post.

I found out you NEED a switch to use the USB and have a Camera, So I added a switch.

Another thing that I did was do the USB Charge Mod.
I followed wesley_huddleston1 tutorial HERE (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=13468.0)
Since its a mod for the PSP FAT all you have to do for the PSP Slim is Steps 3 & 4

After that was done I did some testing!
I wasn’t sure if having the USB Charge would interfere with the internal Camera mod so I did a couple of tests:

First I tested plugging the PSP in the Computer via USB/Mini USB cable:
- Charged with power off
- Started up without a battery
- Was not able to use camera when plugged in the Computer

Second I tried it out with a standerd Mini USB wall charger:
-Charged with power off
-Started without a battery
- WAS ABLE to use the camera WHILE plugged in!

Third tested a Mini USB car charger:
- Charged with power off
- Started up without a battery
- Was not able to use camera when plugged in

So over all I have to say it was a success! You can do the USB Charge mod AND have an internal camera!

Alrighty, now on to my next mod:
Its a simple one.
I swapped out the memory stick LED to a blue one. I am also planing on swapping out the Charge LED to blue, but I just haven’t received the Green LEDs yet.
|color skim: |
|Blue – Memory Stick & Charge | Green: WiFi & Power|

Next I did some case moding!
As I have been saying from the beginning  I want this PSP to look like it came from the factory with all these mods already done. So here's my concept for the Switches:

Whatcha think??
I am going to sand down the words WLAN  but keep the arrow and dots.

Lastly I assembled the RAZOR X Nub.
I followed this tutorial HERE (http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&u=http://www.pspgen.com/forums/viewtopic.php%3Ff%3D44%26t%3D107679&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://www.pspgen.com/forums/viewtopic.php%253Ff%253D44%2526t%253D107679%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26channel%3Ds%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26hs%3DK93%26sa%3DG)

I didn’t take any pictures of the process, but some tips for other people:
- Be careful not to tin the RAZOR X board to much, the spring might not work well.
- DON’T USE TO MUCH SUPER GLUE!

And heres the embarrassing part....
So I was trying to wire the second nub to the PSP Slim board and failed... miserably.

I CAN NOT solder to the ZIF connector.
I tried all day and ended up breaking the ZIF connector.... and in the end breaking my PSP Test Motherboard. I’m not really bummed about breaking the Motherboard, it was already broken! Haha
What I’m more bummed about was that I couldn’t do it.

I sent an Email to Jumbo and I’m hoping he will be able to send me a “pre-wired” PSP slim motherboard.

Well there ya have it!
I’m learning all these skills and I hope I’m being helpful with sharing my experiences.

I’m almost ready to do all this moding on the PSP I will be moding for REAL! So stay tuned!

My next Update will be LED Swaping of the Power board and adding one more button(surprise!)
Thanks for reading!

That'll definitely help out peeps who need to know if you do need a switch, and that usb charge with the camera will work.

For clarification, what data wire did you put the switch on? Data+ or data- ?

Thanks for reading!

nice job on this whole thing jobless its coming out great. im surprised by ur razor how you fit with the power plug still there did u sand it down pretty well huh.

In the end I sanded/cut down down:

I kept the Power board untouched and kept the second nub as stock as I could ( I really just knocked down the little tabs on the second nub case)

Here are some pictures of what I sanded down to make it fit:

Where did you buy your blue LED?

I have bought all my LED's from http://www.unique-leds.com/ (http://www.unique-leds.com/)
I HIGHLY recommend them.
Very smooth transactions and out the door and shipped VERY FAST!

Heres the URL's to the LED's I used:

Hmm, I'm not sure what you are talking about.
Did the Razor come without a hole?
I'm using the Razor X.

And yeah, I tinned the Razor X board.

Fifth:

Hello!
Sorry about taking so long to get an update out, School, Finals, bla, Bla, bla.

Let me show you want I’ve been working on!
First thing I did was try to make the camera switch actually work. Like I’ve said this whole time I’m trying to go for the “right from the factory” look. If you look back to my last update I showed you how I’m wanting the switch for the camera to look and where I want it. Now all I had to do was make it work! It was a LOT HARDER than it sounded. A lot of cutting, sanding, fitting, gluing, taking it ALL APART and starting on a new idea.... basically a lot of time to get it to work haha.

So here is my prototype!
NOTE:
I have this set up with just an LED TESTER!! THIS SWITCH IS FOR THE CAMERA. I wanted to make sure the circuit worked and to show you that it does.

I have the switch exactly where I want it, and have the “frame switch” used to turn the switch on and off.

I would like to go in depth about fitting, but to tell you the truth it was a lot of trial and error. I can say I used a Dremel with a cutting blade, 450 grit sand paper, THIS SWITCH (http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/product_info.php?products_id=8769), and superglue.

Second thing I’ve been working on wasn’t really in my original plans. But I saw kemolagger thread (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=29964.msg224181#msg224181) with him moving the DC Power socket to the left side of the PSP and I really liked how that looked. After sanding and fitting I decided to remove loop on my PSP. When this PSP is ALL DONE I will have EVERYTHING that came factory on the PSP + all my extras ;)

Heres some Pictures.
Remember this Is just my test fitting PSP so the sanding looks crappy.

Lastly,
I moved on to my FINAL faceplate!
I have this all sanded and ready for primer/paint. I filled the DC Power hole with Plastic and cut the hole for the second nub. Also! I have talked to my local screen printer about screening ALL THE LOGOS back on to it. Just to add that little bit more of the “from the factory” look  ;)

Side Note:
I tried contacting people about getting a Jewel and I couldn’t  get a hold of anyone. So, I made my own. I cut the clear circles out of a PSP Faceplate Screen with a drill press.

Now that school is out for the summer and the weather is good for painting expect a lot of updates and them coming quickly! Stay tuned!

My next Update will be Painted/Screened PSP faceplate, Putting the Clear view port in the UMD Door, and hopefully getting the rumble fitted
Thanks for reading!

w00t to you jobless!

You've apparently been a posting maniac.... I remember when you have like 200-300 posts hehe.

you've obviously got good soldering skilz and the bawls to use them on your PSP....
I would definately make the investment if I had the extra cash and time to invest. I tried the internal cam mod but ended up mucking up my USB connector with a $15 soldering iron.

A suggestion for your cam.. If you have an extra case I would definately try to squeeze it in under the mem stick slot and see if you can work some kinda cover for the lense...Keeping the UMD would be nice just for legacy sake :)

1st –
I have not finished.

2nd -
Things I still need to do:
-   Finnish moding the case
-   Finnish moding the frames
-   Wiring
-   Get logos printed on the faceplate
-   Re-due the UMD Door

Its coming along!

I want to re-due the UMD door, I was messing around with the paint, I was going to have a silk black ring around the hole where the camera looks threw but I don’t like how it turned out. So I’m just going to have a clear circle in the center of the UMD Door.

Also, I’m not done moding the case. I was waiting for my fellow moder to finish the Rumble feature but he didn’t have enough time to complete it so he is refunding me my money. I decided to just drop the rumble feature and not include it in this PSP. Down the road I will put it in another PSP, but just not this one.

Alrighty, now some info.
My first idea to add a clear backing was to have a jewel, cut out the UMD door, then put the clear jewel in it. But that’s a lot easier said than done. I was playing around with it for a while and I never really liked the outcome. So what  I ended up doing was this:

I bought a clear case and took out the UMD door,  I wet sanded the logo off, then buffed the UMD door so that it was crystal clear again. That was A LOT easier, haha. This whole PSP mod has been trial and error, and I’m hoping I will find the easiest way to do it so if anyone else wants to they will be able to.
UPDATE!!!!!
You can just buff out the logos with a buffing wheel. Do that instead, a lot less work!

My next update will show a final case and the frames done.
Thanks for reading!

haha thanks,
Soldering to the camera to the Mini USB wasn't that hard. Just have a steady hand and the time to invest. Since it was my first time, I'd have to say it took me almost 2 hours to get the camera all soldered. As for the Second nub, I couldn't do that. I tried, and destroyed a PSP Motherboard. I contacted Jumbo to do that, he did an AWESOME job.

Hmm, I have seen people put the camera next to the memory stick. It seemed like they didn't have enough room to fit the whole camera behind the case. After this mod, I will check it out. I would be pretty sick to keep everything stock and add all these features while still making it look stock :)

Looking good jobless. Howed that solder job on the zif hold up? Loving the Final faceplate's hole. Very well sanded!
I haven't gotten around to actually wiring it up yet, but your soldering job is top notch :)

If you shave a bit off the x button and a small bit off the faceplate you can actually get a razor to fit perfectly centered under the x button,I've done this before and so has Jumbo.

Seventh:
Hello!
I’m going to recap and review a few things that I haven’t covered yet.

As it stands this is what I’ve done to my Final PSP and what still needs to be done:

Green – Completed | Red – Not Completed

Case Modification -

Paint-

LED Swap-

Second Nub-

Camera-

Other-

As you see I’ve been hard at work! I don’t have any pictures of my PSP I’m modding, I kinda want to keep it as a surprise ;)

What I would like to recap and add some photos/links is how to swap out the power board LED’s, swapping out the memory LED and a couple of pictures of moding the Razor X; since I didn’t have any the first time I talked about it.

First:
The PSP Slim Powerboard,
THE FIRST THING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT 0603 LEDS IS WITCH SIDES POSITIVE AND WITCH IS NEGATIVE.

If you look at the back of the 0603 LED you will notice a green line down the center with one side of the line having a dash and the other side blank.
THE SIDE WITH THE DASH IS NEGATIVE!

Few, now that’s out of the way here are some pictures:

The tutorial I fallowed was at shatteredmods.com by Bustinthejustin
Here's the URL:
LED Swap Tutorial (http://shatteredmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=109.0)
Very nice tutorial and very easy to fallow.

Second,
I’ll be brief.
In the same tutorial as above (LED Swap Tutorial (http://shatteredmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=109.0))
On the second page it shows you how to swap out the memory LED, very simple mod.

Third,
I just wanted to take a picture of my set up for how I assembled the Razor X. I recommend anyone that is going to do the Razor X mod buy some “helping hands”, they help out a lot.

I’m working hard and really want to release my modded PSP to the public! I’m going to get some professional pictures done and a little short YouTube video showcasing my PSP, poking fun at Sony and something else... ;)

Keep checking back, I’m hoping to be done soon!

My next Update will be the finally! I can’t think of any more information or pictures I would take before my PSP will be completed
Thanks for reading!

omg guys.
I did it.
I'm done. Everything works, everything is painted everything is in the psp. I'm done.

Soo :censored:ing stoked right now, and pretty shocked.
It was a lot of hard work, about a year worth of planing and collecting supplies and now I'm done.

One thing I would change would be my Power LED, I thought I brought the bright green LED's but the one I installed are pretty dully lit up. But, It really doesn't bother me that much, just one thing that went the way side.

I will have Pictures and a Video up ASAP, I don't want to dampen anything with pictures with horrible lighting. It will probably be at least a week before I get some pictures, just hang tight. It's worth the wait!

First off I want to thank all of you for your comments :)
I guess I got locked out of pspmod.com for posting this...
I tried replying to my thread and I guess I need approval from a moderator before I can post? ahg. what bs. I was just trying to show it off there too.

Also, let me see if I can get some help from you guys and fill you in:
What I've done is basically a prototype of what can be done. What I would REALLY like is if a few of us modders get together and get some premodded faceplates/backplates/umd doors molded in plastic and mass produced. I'm also wanting a "plug and play" version of the camera/dual nub and in the future a rumble feature. So in the end ANYONE with a PSP and a screw driver could just take there stock PSP faceplate off and swap it out with our premodded case  and  add "plug and play" extensions. That's what I'm striving for, I my head I'm thinking and hoping is "well Sony, if you are not going to bring what the customer wants to the plate then I will". But, we will all see how this pans out in the community, if more people want this and we get a big backing then I will do everything in my power to make sure it is brought to the plate.

I know there are many PSP's out there that have tons of LED's and more bells and whistles then mine (and I know all of you work hella hard on them and they are all :censored:ing awesome!), but that is not what I was going for or what everyone has been asking since the first gen.

Finally done! This PSP is awesome. A lot of fine work went into it and was definitely worth it. Great job man hope to see more from you in future.

Thank you man, all the good comments make up for the rude ones everywhere else.
I hope to work with anyone that wants to take this to the next step. I really can see a market in premodded PSP cases and "plug and play" extensions.

Great job man
can't wait to see what you do in the future.
Thanks man! If you have some free time just hit me up! ;)

Congrats on finally finishing it and sick vid!

That singer is smokin lol.

But yeah, it's sweet dude.

Thanks! yeah, I wanted to poke fun at the PSP-GO video Sony had, thats why some of the questions are kinda odd, they are in the PSP-GO video.
lol, Her name is Midori Longo, google her, you'll find her ;)

:w00t: wow hmmm whos better the singer or the psp. But nice job man it turned out really professional.

lol, thanks man, This is just a prototype of what can be done, and hopefully will be done. I really would like to make some premodded cases so when someone does these mods it can have the straight from the factory look.

Yea that would be a smart idea with the casing and that. What you said about the what consumer wants you are absolutely right about it we expect more but seems Sony isnt taking that step to doing so thats why we all mod simply to satisfy what we like and bring others to this as well. I mean i still like like the 2000 and 1000 over the PSP go the standards dont meet what i like.

Yea it can be done only issue now of that is money if money can be raised to build these equipments that could make these molding that would be it there. I have few ideas.

also i like your ideas on producing premodded case..but just like balzin says money

matters for it to be achieved..i was thinking maybe you can talk to some small plastic

manufacturer that can make your concept designs..have them make your molded designs

then mass produce it.

Sweet, I'm not the only one that thinks we should tackle this. I agree, we need to see how this pans out, but if we get a big enough backing I'll see what I can do about the money part. I guess you can call me crazy, but I really see a big market in this...

Thanks man,
yeah I don't really like adding 30+ LED's that dance to music and stuff like that, I like the stock look ;)
As for the frame that's what I did, I took 2 frames cut them up then glued them together. The camera needed a switch and I think that is the cleanest way to add one on the PSP. Yeah, I want to make a big enough wave and feel out the market before I put my money on the line. Probably the first thing I would start with would be pre-modded faceplates and go from there....

looks cool, dont like the girl in the vid she seems to over-reacting a lot:p
lol thanks man, and yeah, I agree ;)

ty man, I hope I didn't step on anyone's toes. I gave credit to everyone in my worklog and my blog, and my website... I know a few of these mods have been done before, but what I want to do it get some of these things available so anyone could just pick up there stock PSP, swap out the case with my case and put it back together without knowing anything about modding.

Yea there are some ppl on here that know quite a bit about molding but the psp is going to be a trick and not easy to over come. But if we can round up those who have done molding before you may have something going soon.

Could you upload some pix of how you did you internal Flash memory? ...and the placement.  I think I installed my camera where you put it.  I installed my Chotto Shot Go!Cam las year.....and I put the switch on the wrong cable.....the 5v, thinking it would work with USB connection, but nope.....til FINALLY i saw your diagram. (I THINK it was yours.) said to put the switch on the D+.  Works GREAT now.

The LED's you see aren't connected, but maybe later.  When you turn on the camera, the 5v output on the sides of the PSP USB port turn on....i was thinking to series some LED's there. WHITE! WHITE! WHITE!  ....i made a device to test out ALL kinds of 5v things....the one shown is a mim amp for mini speakers (an old iPod dock)......ive already tried, a BUNCH of desktop USB accessories, a laser pointer, and even charged my DS through it!

BLA-GOOJE!!!!

Your work is beautifully done.  Meticulous.  Masterful.  Man, oh Man.

Is it possible to use the normal Memorystick slot and that thing at the same time? Or can you use this just instead of the normal Memorystick slot?

If I made mistakes in this post I'm sorry, I'm a Swiss and I can't speak English perfectly.

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16489 (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16489)

and 2 16GB SanDisk MicroSDHC

I GOT that piece already! Hahahaha! I was gonna post it as a picture to show that I kep my UMD Drive, but I could only upload 4 pyx an' that one din seem relevant.  I keep my extra SD's in an empty UMD case in the UMD slot.

To clarify, did you solder the stick INSIDE the PSP, or is it jes there in the slot?  then have a switch between the "SOLDERED" and the added "REMOVABLE" ....Cuz I thought it was like INTERNAL internal.......like "no-take-out-that-thing-none."  then still put in more memories. CARD!

Well, then, either way......I was ripped off with the price of my CR-5400 dual Slut.....i payed 1,500 pesos, which is like what....$30+ USD!! DX has that junk for UNDER $5.  FREE SHIPPING.

anyways......you think I could disassemble the CR-5400 and Directly solder two 16GB SD cards?(Normal Size)............I mean, I can DO it....but would it work? .....well.....the teeth might be different......or whatever those copper leads are called.

by the WAyYs.....I read a comment from someone about your PSP.  They said somethin like, "What if you got a small plastic company to mass-produce the Shell or housing only?"

THAT would work.

Then DX can bundle all them Razor and all them other Chotto, and everything else so we can all BE LIKE MIKE!

...is your real name MIKE>?

Another thing that I did was do the USB Charge Mod.
I followed wesley_huddleston1 tutorial HERE (https://www.acidmods.com/forum/index.php?topic=13468.0)
Since its a mod for the PSP FAT all you have to do for the PSP Slim is Steps 3 & 4

Why only one wire, don't you need one for - and one for +?

Post by: TeaBubblez on January 31, 2010, 06:47:24 AM
@t4b you only need one wire. as the usb modified charger is pluged in. the positive point from the usb connector. (far left) moves the current to the negative (left) of the power socket connector. Thus only one wire according to my observations, the tutorial and my experience
