Simple rapid fire mod idea
« on: March 19, 2013, 06:44:43 PM »
First of all, hello everybody! Brand new n00b right here  glad to join this forum!

So... just a little idea I saw mentioned, thought I would get some feedback.
Original mod can be found here (found this idea in the coments)
There is a rapid-fire mod where you use an oscillating current feeding the LEDs to mimic quick firing. Now, I dont have the controler that has those type of LEDs. When browsing the comments about this mod, I read about an idea. Bascially, you use a low-power capacitor to quickly store and discharge, producing the same oscillating effect.
does this seem like a plausible idea?
Naturally, the capacitor would have to be realllly small to cycle quick enough... but is the theory sound? I asked my dad, who has some practical electrical knowledge, but he didnt know if it would work, only that it sounded logical in theory.

Im going to do this mod no matter what, but this would be the quick and dirty alternative.

On the tut you linked me, there is no second button, the rapid fire is directly linked to the trigger itself? Thats better than the one I found haha.  Thanks for that link!

what do you think about the other idea I mentioned? using a capacitor to create the changes in current needed for rapid fire?
