Matrix controller D-pad malfunction help!
« on: March 22, 2013, 11:41:49 AM »
I have this matrix controller, everything worked fine before. Then suddenly the left button of the D-Pad doesnt work.
I dont really mind it since most Xbox360 games dont use d-pad. Month later the down button stops working.
And recently the right button too.

Now the only button on the D-Pad that is working is the Up button!

What happened? did something blow up inside?
Note that I only open the case once to clean the pad when the down and left button doesn't work. And cleaning them doesn't work. Also tried sanding them too.

Can someone help? Anyone have the same problem?

If you sanded them are they down to copper? If so test the pads by jumping pads to test function. If it functions, then you can mod in a new dpad from any controller. Like an old nes dpad and solder to the xbox dpad pads. Maybe a ps3 style dpad mod like RDC did. Let me know how testing goes and Ill see what I can do to help you more.
