Sorry I haven't posted any news in a while, to be honest not much is going on, we have the same old geo-hot Vs. Sony thing, the iPad 2, Hyper's Xbox Controller Colour Change ROL, same stuff....

Oh you want to hear more about this new mod? The RnD team and Hyper especially have made a 7 colour(yes that is how you spell it) ROL press the SYNC buttom and you have yourself a new colour, turn it off, it still stays the same colour when you turn it on again. The main this is that this in no way effects the normal operation of the controller

So i bet your next question will be when you can get your hands on such a wonderful mod, well the RnD team are being a secretive as always there are reports of a flex PCB, but as usual Jrfhoutx can't be contacted for a conformation

thats really easy to do the key thing with this mod is that it does not affect the operation of the ROL, so it changes colour but the leds still only turn on when they would normally.

and yes, it's been done before, i don't believe there is a tut for it however because it is so similar to a normally lit UMD window...

I saw something similar (not at all) in spurgurgle´s camaleon controller. He put a special d-pad wich had a led wich changed colour like the ROL

yeah i did that

but is was simpler then this mod.... all i did was piggy back another set of leds off of the rol, into the d-pad. where as this is a little more complex, and i cant really say what is going on in this mod, as its still restricted in RnD but its a lot more complex then my mod.

Right now we're looking into producing this as a kit similar to the intensafire, an easy intall flex pcb a it's quite a difficult mod to wire and install

Lets just see how it turns out before we make statements like that. There is room for improvement if people can't get it quite right on their first install.

no, really though, we are looking into getting this mass produced as a product you could purchase through the AM Shop. it might be a while though... prototyping and making sure its a super simple drop in mod takes some time... keep an eye out for it though...
