What the hell did my friend do to this thing? Please help...
« on: January 06, 2011, 01:35:02 PM »
My friend called my up saying that whenever he puts his battery (pandora) into his PSP, when he starts it up (without the AC adapter), it just gets to the green light, black screen. It starts up fine with the AC adapter... He had the 5.00 m33-4 firmware. I updated it to 5.50 Gen-D3.

I have no idea what is wrong with it or what could cause this problem. I have no non-pandora batteries lying around. Can anyone shine some light on this problem? Did he accadentally his whole PSP?

I know he did something with irshell, but I am not sure...

I'm gonna guess that you need a magic memory stick, but that's just a guess...

lol it's sorta like that lobo, he has a memorystick that has not had the boot files applied yet, so when you try to boot with a pandora battery it has nothing to load off of, however if you tried to boot from ac (normal battery/non pandorized) it will boot like normal, I'm pretty suprised he didn't know this, pretty silly mistake, it's a pretty known user rule for CFW users, you can't boot a PSP with pandora, unless you have a mmc, regardless if you are unbricking, or already have firmware installed.
Your friend has done absolutely nothing to the PSP. Get  a mmc, or normal battery, plain and simple.
