In the next series of pictures you will see how simple the install is we will put up a more detailed tutorial up later.. but trust me this is a simple install out of all our kits this is the far simplest..

Thanks to Nintendo's simple PCB design which lables everything it was not hard to fing the power and ground locations...

Woot that chip looks mighty snug in there thanks Nintendo.. Also we have a convenient spot to place out activation button next to the sync button..

Looks so pretty she is ready to be turned on!!!!

We love having a activation led to let us know what mode we are in....

Can you post an install diagram for those that don't want the LED?  I'd rather keep the installation even simpler and just guess which mode it's in.  I'm not a fan of flash.  I assume just leave pin 2 alone and still give pin 1 power?

Also, I have a couple extra remotes (7 total and only need 4).  I would love to play around with an always on unit.  What would happen if I shorted 4 and 8 to ground, gave 1 power and wired 7 to my button of choice?

One last question, what all comes in the kit? The chip AND the switch (wire?  I'm all out)?  The product page says chip only.  It seems that was to get accross to people NO WIIMOTE but I wasn't sure if the switch was incuded.  My radio shack doesn't sell that switch and getting them to order force feed is a PITA.

With all that said and asked...AWESOME JOB!  You guys rock!  I figured we would never see a Turbo remote since Nintendo will not license these things to anyone else.  THANKS!

They won't give you the source.
I recommend you purchase the kit from the acidmods store.
But if you want some code I wrote then message me, it works, and is simple.

Thank you very much for that!  My orders will be in soon.

I hate to be a bother, but now I have one more clarification:

only 4 pin to wire up

Your first diagram showed a switched ground going to pin 4 but in the new diagram it was moved to pin 2 and nothing on 4?

Don't worry about pins moving around, these are microcontrollers that can be configured anyway the programmer desires.  Some pins have additional functions, so not every pin can do the same job, but for the most part all the pins can be used as inputs and outputs.

I think you may be looking at this like a chip with a special funtion like a 555, it is not.  It is more similar a computer in that it can be set up in many different configurations, with endless amounts of functions through custom firmware programs that are loaded to the chip.

Hope that clears it up for you, and don't worry about being a bother....there is no such thing as stupid questions, just stupid answers :winker:

What I meant by my question is that you stated "only 4 pin to wire up" but your new diagram has no 4.  I just wanted to make sure you meant pin 2.

Thanks again!

I think by "4 pin to wire up" Mike means that you only have four wires to solder for the entire install.
Hope this helps you.

PSP Rapidfire isn't happening apparently.
I did it ages ago anyway.
It is just too simple, and useless.

the black and and Red is the + and - for the 603 SMD led ..  that thing at the end is the led pre solder for you

there is also another one that is not solder its a extra one .. in your kit

why they are 2 switches .. 2 color red /black pick one what ever you like there is no wrong answer

the pro kit i will added this week to the shop ...

Now there are 2 ver of the Wii Remote Board and some one email me the picture of the new
board i have mark the points since its Diff that the one i did the TUT on :

You're not blind.  The store is all screwed up and has been for a while now.

If you go to the store yourself you can only find the $19.99 Basic Kit in a catagory.  The only way to get to the Basic Chip Only is to click on the link in the first post or search for Wii Rapid in the store.

To date there has never been a Pro Kit on the Store.  Still waiting.

Hi, I'm having problems changing the postage for an order. When I go to checkout, I select "First Class Mail International Large Envelope" ($6.80)

But when I get to "Order Confirmation" it says "United States Postal Service (1 x 0.5lbs) (Global Express Guaranteed): $38.95"

Is this an error or is it the way it is supposed to be? That would double the price for my order... Btw, I live in Denmark.

Hello, I'm interested in purchasing a kit, but I was wondering if this mod would work for an online game such as Call of Duty: World at War, or future games such as The Conduit. Have you guys tested any online games, or would you guys be able to make a vid testing an online game? Thanks in advance.

Sorry to be a bother but im confused aswell   :help:

Do you have to solder the chip and switch to the circuit board, not just the wires connecting the chip and switch? And if you didn't, how did you secure the chip and switch in place? Also, what did you secure the wires with, sticky tape/sellotape?

And would this soldering iron be good enough for the sodering?

http://www.rapidonline.com/productinfo.aspx?tier1URL=Tools-Fasteners-Production-Equipment&tier2URL=Soldering-Equipment&tier3URL=Soldering-Irons&tier4URL=20W-Soldering-iron-with-fitted-mains-plug&moduleno=73960&kw=soldering+iron

Lol, long adress, anyways thanks if you can reply.

Man sorry guys for leaving you all hanging in here.  I just want to explain that I have written code for Wii rapidfire, there is the Basic and the Pro, and I also have done a Sleeper style that doesnt use any added buttons.

I have spoken with Nico about adding these chips to the store and we are planning to add them once we get things up and running. Now I must comment on why Mike didnt really sell this as a kit: installing this Kit is incredibly difficult, there is very little space and when Mike did sell the kits there was something like a %50 percent failure rate due to the customer not being able to install properly.

At this point I am not planning to sell these as kits as I dont think Nico needs the customer support headache that goes along with it.  If someone wanted to get a bulk quantity of preprogrammed chips I would be able to work on a one on one basis to get someone set up for resale(ebay, craigslist, ect).

I will talk to Nico and not selling kits could change when and if we get time to document the install better in order to flush out the installer errors.  If you guys are interested in these as premods, kits, or bulk order let nico know either via PM or his new shop thread in the general discussion thread.

1. Thank you for your reply!

2. Difficult?  Hum, didn't seem that difficult.  But then again I was planning on no lights.  At that point it was just a few solder points, no?

Couldn't you clearly state the complexity and offer no support?

im not sure what to make of this thread, its my first time seeing it and i read it all the way through...

it seems at one time the basic was for sale and the pro model was ready but not for sale because of complications with your servers and the acidmods store.

when it was for sale, it appears that the basic kit came with:
(1) 8 pin pre-programed pic,
(2) on/off switchs,
(2)leds - (1) pre-soldered & (1) replacement led
adequate amount of wire.

do i have all this straight so far?

and are the kits either basic or pro going to be for sale again any tim in the future?

i personnally would love to see what i believe to be the basic kit for sale with out any gurantee if need be, also while im making my wishlist could it be less than $50 w/free shipping?

if it was i'd buy it, no complaints.

Why not?  I started a new thread regarding this mod and no one ever responded.  Billy has a vald question regarding this topic.

any luck on this chip / code / kit ????

Where is this mod?  What happened to it?  What happened to 802Chives?  I'm suprised when I started a new topic, no one slammed me for NOT SEARCHING and posting here.  It's common prtactice to post in LIKE THREADS.

Um....ok....  It was a chip.  Couldn't have cost that much.  Anyway, as I mentioned in the other thread, good thing Datel made one.  Not as customized but ah well.  Whatcha gonna do?

Thanks for the reply.

why would you say such a thing deda. its just a programmed chip, of course it was produced and sold by the old shop. I fixed all the broken immages at the begining of the tutorial, and I have found the hex file.  it is up to king mike and chives what to do with it. I will ask them and report back.

mike interested in this?
