For the card reader and extra usb ports, and also it keeps it a little cooler as well.

thats cool. you can almost turn your ps3 into a media center.(pics vid and xtra usb) no bad at all.

Short Answer: No
Long Answer: Maybe

Well it wouldnt be the exact size of a ps3, it would be pretty much useless because the ps3 has no vents on bottom it might take alittle heat from the bottom of the ps3, the card reader and extra usb may or may not work the ps3 is a little crazy in terms of USB devices.
