Hey guys i am trying to breathe some life into this section of acid mods so please post your pictures of your modded PS2 's here, or give them to me and ill put them in here

OOOOOH ive been waiting for this wel its not quite finished gotta sand the dvd drive window and put in clear plastic but thought id get this thread started

my favourite feature is the fact that the lights and fan all have a switch so they can be turned off wen watchin a movie and stuff oh yea ignore the little vista stika my m8 put it there n i just left it lol

here's tec's masterpiece, its not a ps2 but there is no ps1 section and rocks the socks off every ps2 i've ever seen except tr4gs

heres mine

the 3 blue leds in the front are 3 of 4 i put in the mem card. 1 of them didnt seem to work for some reason and i been to lazy to fix it so yeah...

if my friend ever lets me mod his ps2 im gonna do his black slim console in el wire.

i just aquired 2 ps2's.... will be modding when i get the time/monies to do so....

Since we're showing off PS2's, here's the PS2 I did earlier this year, I blew the LEDs by accident so they have been removed for now, and dislodged a wire on the DMS4 chip so the HDD and Network adapter are out for now, I just wanted it up and running so I could play Guitar Hero with my wife once in a while (it's one of the few games she'll actually play besides N64 Goldeneye) so here are a few new pics of what it looks like right now, maybe later on I'll get the LEDs and the DMS working again but this is what I've got for now...

(Yes, that is my tortoise on the digital picture frame, his name is Linus.)

actually it's a gloss finish, 4 coats of gloss blue, sanded between each coat, and 4 coats of gloss finish clear coat, sanded between each one, so it looks almost like it's still wet even though it's not, the paint was finished over 6 months ago...

as for the 'messy' stencil, it's supposed to look like that, like it was tagged in a hurry, and the cracked paint is a special technique that was intentional as well... actually the part that's actually unintentionally messy is the window that I cut out. that thing is crooked as hell and tbh I just got sick of trying to even it out and make it perfectly square so I just left it...

glad you like it though, hopefully I can get the DMS4 working again and get some LEDs back in it to bring it back to it's full former glory... lol!

I don't know if I'd say skill, so much as it was patience, and lots and lots of Boddington's and Lindemann's... lol

you did nice job painting that, I like how the PS2 part is black, and your Cd tray is painted as well, I didnt paint mine

Heres my modded ps2.
the fans broke somehow so i modded it using a toy train power control and a fan made out of a keyboard vaccum cleaner and a vcr head motor.
im not too sure what the wires coming out the side are, but i decided to post a picture of it loading a game to show you it still works.
